It contains vitamin E and large amounts of magnesium (maintaining good bone health), potassium, phosphorus and iron. It is a very good source of calcium: a cup of almonds gives us both calcium and a small piece of feta cheese. Almond butter contains monounsaturated fats, the good fats that help lower cholesterol. It is an excellent source of protein and fiber, and yields low levels of saturated fat and no cholesterol.<\/p>\n<p>We searched for an easy and tasteful recipe with almond butter and\u2026here you are. We visited www.twopeasandtheirpod.com and we loved the following recipe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Almond Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies {Vegan}<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup white whole wheat flour<br \/>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon baking soda<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd teaspoon salt<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bc teaspoon ground cinnamon<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup almond butter<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd cup brown sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd cup Almond Breeze almond milk<br \/>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup old fashioned oats<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd cup dried cranberries<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd cup vegan chocolate chips or regular chocolate chips<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15703 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.athenstrainers.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/biskota.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.athenstrainers.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/biskota.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.athenstrainers.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/biskota-300x249.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.athenstrainers.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/biskota-200x166.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.athenstrainers.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/biskota-400x332.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Instructions<\/p>\n<p>1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with a Silpat baking mat or parchment paper and set aside.<br \/>\n2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.<br \/>\n3. With an electric or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine the almond butter and brown sugar. Mix until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Mix in the almond milk and vanilla extract, scraping down the sides if necessary.<br \/>\n4. Turn the mixer to low and add the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Stir in the oats, dried cranberries, and chocolate chips.<br \/>\n5. Roll cookie dough into tablespoon balls and place on prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Gently flatten the dough balls with the palm of your hand. Bake cookies for 10 minutes or until they are set and golden brown around the edges. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
