Ice creams

Ice creams contain calcium, vitamins , proteins and  have a low glycemic index. The presence of fat prevents the rapid absorption of sugar.  It’s refreshing and improves our mood.

However, ice creams can be a rich source of calories and contain saturated fat and cholesterol.

What to choose:

The “cups”, usually have more fat and cholesterol, particularly parfait

The ice cream sundae or sorbet contain little or no fat, lower calorie attribute

The type stick ice cream without chocolate has few calories

The “bulk” ice cream with fruit flavors or frozen yogurt have fewer calories than the parfait or other flavors

Even fewer calories have light ice cream.
