Exercise after menopause

What happens after menopause? What type of exercise suits you more?First of all,  you need to exercise with resistance (weight machines, free weights, body weight) to strengthen your muscles and bones, since osteoporosis is one of the most important problems you will face.

You can add Pilates, yoga and stretching exercises according to your needs in order to maintain the range of joint motion , to strengthen your core, improve your body posture, and manage  stress.

You should also follow an appropriate diet and increase your aerobic activity 2-3 times a week by combining  workout intensities, for example  from walking to running , from simple cycling to uphill cycling, even with Zumba dance.

This way you will manage to deal with your cholesterol, the glucose metabolism disorder, the blood pressure and body weight increase  and at the same time you will improve your mood. Life goes on after menopause!
