2nd European Lifestyle Medicine Congress in Rome

The evolution of technology has reached a point where pretty much anything is available at the touch of a button. Physical activity has been engineered out of life, with desk-based jobs replacing physical labour.

We engage in unhealthy habits such as:

  • Smoking
  • Eating junk food
  • Physical inactivity

This habits may cause heart disease, diabetes etc.

The need to eliminate these phenomena has led to the creation of “ European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO)” (ELMO), a scientific, medical organization based in Geneva (Switzerland) dedicated to research, prevention and treatment of chronic diseases and lifestyle – related diseases promoting evidence-based medicine.
