All about Coconut Palm Sugar

Coconut Palm Sugar is a natural, unprocessed sweetener derived from coconut trees. Our coconut sugar comes from Java – an island in Indonesia where high humidity and abundant rainfall offer excellent growing conditions. Unlike other sugar products grown as plants only, coconut trees grow in the wild and benefit the ecosystem. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, coconut sugar is one of the most viable sweeteners in the world, producing up to 75 percent more sugar per acre of sugar cane. It has a sweet caramel flavor and can instantly replace the sugar cane sugar in every favorite recipe. Use it in baking to sweeten chocolate recipes or as a low GI alternative to sweeten drinks.
