Is it okay for a 12 year old to do basic calisthenics?

“My 12-year-old daughter wants to start calisthenics. Will this effect her  growth ”?

Calisthenics is growing to become a popular form of exercise for many people, and many enjoy its benefits. It involves the use of your own body weight in order to carry out different kinds of exercises. These exercises make full use of your motor skills.

Calisthenics is actually extremely important for kids to practice. Children need to stay active on a regular basis to avoid chronic movement deficiencies in later life: calisthenics will help their strength, mobility, flexibility, agility and endurance.

Your daughter will improve her balance and flexibility, strengthen her core , learn her body and its capabilities. She will also love the fact that training can even take place in a park or playground.

All she needs is perseverance, patience and concentration!
