Restorative yoga: Reclining Hero Pose

Exercise of the week!

Kneel on the floor and lie back over 2 yoga blocks, the one above the chest and the other above your head. Let your arms rest out to the sides.

This exercise stretches quadriceps, thigh flexors and abdominals. It also releases tension from waist area, improves breathing and digestion.

Hold this pose for 5 breaths and deepen the stretch. To return to starting position, push the ground with your hands to come to kneeling position and stretch your legs backwards alternately to restore blood circulation.
